This art assignment was to use a fancy font to write my first name, and to use a curved line as a basis for it. I shaped my line as a upward curve, located underneath the letters of my name. During this project, I learned many skills, including, but not limited to:
•the ability to look at a letter and duplicate it larger on paper •reshaping said letters to represent a rounded edge The technique I used to complete this assignment was lines-I used them to create the outlines of my letters and decorative lines. Lines are also the most emphasized element in my work, as I used them to do the entire project. Even when filling in the shapes, I used singular lines rather than scribbling. I think these skills will be useful to me in the future because I am now more skilled at replicating images in a larger scale, and drawing lines to match the same curves and lengths of the image.

This project was to draw any 2+ images together, using our hatching, line width, and scumbling skills from previous exercises. I chose to draw roses in a vase, and used mostly hatching to accomplish that. I also used the darkness/closeness of the lines to create more shadows and texture, which is one of the main skills I learned during this unit that I think will be very helpful to me in the future.
